A home loan from Rural 1st makes purchasing or refinancing your home simpler. We offer a variety of lending options, including fixed and variable-rate mortgages for homes on acreage. Our loans are uniquely designed for rural property purchases.

Choose your down payment

We can finance most homes on acreage for as little as 15% down. And we never charge private mortgage insurance (PMI).

Finance any type of rural property

We offer loans on both existing homes and bare land, and value the acreage and site improvements for maximum equity.

If a lower interest rate becomes available after you’ve closed, you can reduce your rate every year for a small fee through our Conversion Program, without the hassle of refinancing.*

Prequalified for longer

Your Rural 1st prequalification requires only a soft credit pull and, oftentimes, can be completed quickly. Prequalification is valid for 90 days and easily renewed, so you’re ready when the perfect property hits the market. We can also provide preapproval, valid for six months, with a hard credit pull.
